Fanfare Contributor Bio

James Miller

What Fanfare Readers May Imagine They Should Know about Me:

My equipment consists of an Onkyo receiver, an Onkyo single-CD player, a Technics cassette deck, a Yamaha turntable, and the Cambridge Soundworks Ensemble, a satellite speaker system. My listening room is about 12 feet by 24 feet, with wall-to-wall carpeting on the floor. Since I am 72, I probably don’t hear the higher end of the frequency spectrum very well, if at all. I have been collecting 78s, 45s, LPs, CDs, and cassettes since 1947. I have a master’s degree in music history and literature from Northwestern. I have been writing for Fanfare for just over 20 years.
