Michael De Sapio

Michael De Sapio is a writer and violinist from Alexandria, Virginia. A specialist in period-instrument performance, he performs regularly on Baroque violin with Charm City Baroque, the chamber group he helped found in 2008, as well as the Washington Bach Consort, The Folger Consort, Modern Musick, and other ensembles. As a writer, Michael contributes to such web sites as Ionarts, The Papist, and Conservative Book Club, among others. He attended The Catholic University of America, where he majored in Theology and Religious Studies, and Peabody Conservatory of Music, where he specialized in the Baroque violin. Michael is also an avid amateur tenor chorister in Roman Catholic churches. In his free time Michael enjoys indulging his interests in religion, history, art, languages, and classic film.
